Gandia (गण्डिया)[1][2][3] / (गंदिया), a tribe of Jats found in Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan.

Mention by Pliny

Pliny[4] mentions Lake Mieotis and the adjoining nations....Others again represent the Ocharius as running through the Cantici and the Sapæi, and the Tanais as passing through the territories of the Sarcharcei, the Herticei, the Spondolici, the Synhietæ, the Anasi, the Issi, the Catetæ, the Tagoræ, the Caroni, the Neripi, the Agandei, the Mandarei, the Satarchei, and the Spalei.

History

H.A. Rose writes:Like the Chandia Baloch they (Gandia) present offerings to the descendants of Shamji, though Muhammadans, and are also called Rang Rangia. [5].

H.A. Rose writes:[6]Chhabihwale (छबीहवाले), a term applied to the Khatri devotees of Shamji. His Gandia Jat devotees are called Rang Rangita and his Chandia Baloch worshippers are styled Chhabala — both, though still Muhammadans, presenting offerings to his descendants.
