Goela Kalan

Goela Kalan or Goyla Kalan (गोयला कलां) is a medium-size village in Badli tehsil of district Jhajjar, Haryana. It is a twin village, the other part is called Habibpur.

Location

Goela Kalan is located between village Kherka Gujjar and Khedi-Jatt. Its agricultural lands are fertile, with good irrigation facilities from a Yamuna water-canal.

दुल्हेड़ा बाराह संगठन

यह गाँव दुल्हेड़ा बाराह का सदस्य है। यह 12 गांवों का संगठन है जिसे दुल्हेड़ा बाराह खाप भी कहते हैं। आजकल प्रो० उमेदसिंह देशवाल (दुल्हेड़ा निवासी) इसके प्रधान हैं। यह संगठन समय-समय पर सामाजिक हित में फैसले करता आ रहा है जिनका इसके आधीन आने वाले सभी गाँव पालन करते हैं। इन गाँवों के नाम इस प्रकार हैं -

1. दुल्हेड़ा, 2. खेड़का गुज्जर, 3. गोयला कलाँ, 4. छुडाणी, 5. भदाणी, 6. भदाणा, 7. कबलाणा, 8. गंगड़वा, 9. गुभाणा, 10.माजरी, 11. जरगदपुर 12. अस्थल धाम - यह एक धार्मिक एवं ऐतिहासिक मठ/मंदिर है जिसे छत्रपति शिवाजी ने बनवाया था। यह दुल्हेड़ा और खेड़का गुज्जर के बीच में बसा है।

इन गाँवों का आपस में भाईचारा है और इनमें आपसी रिश्ते (ब्याह-शादी) नहीं होते।

At the time of Census-2011, the total population of Goela Kalan village was 3261, with 631 households.

Notable Persons

• Dr. Jagdev Singh Dhankhar - H.E.S.- I (Retd. Principal of University College, Rohtak).
• Ch. Mehar Singh Dhankhar - Retd. S.D.O. Irrigation, Haryana.

• Ramesh Kumar (Subedar) became martyr of militancy on 09.10.2010 in Jammu and Kashmir. He was from Goyla Kalan village in Badli tehsil of district Jhajjar, Haryana.

Unit - 11 Jat Regiment

• Nafe Singh (Naib) (16.11.1943 - 13.03.1986), Sena Medal (posthumous), became martyr on 13.03.1986 at Siachin Glacier during Operation Meghdoot. He was from village Goela Kalan Badli in Jhajjar district of Haryana.
