Hardwari Lal

Hardwari Lal (हरद्वारी लाल) (Dalal) (Born: Sept. 10, 1910) hailed fromChhara village in Rohtak district in Haryana, who remained MLA for a long time, both in Punjab and Haryana Assemblies. He was also the Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Rohtak Constituency in 1984-1989. Chhara village is now part of Jhajjar district.

After formation of Haryana state on 1 November 1966, Hardwari lal was the Education Minister in the cabinet of Chief Minister Rao Birender Singh (in 1967).

A lawyer from profession, he was an educationist and was later appointed as Vice Chancellor of Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak.
