Jashpur (जशपुर) is a town and district in Chhattisgarh. It is the capital of Jaspur district which lies in the north-eastern corner of Chhattisgarh, also adjoining the borders of Jharkhand and Odisha. In the past, the area has been under the influence of Naxilite and Maoist insurgency but the situation has now improved and things are coming under normalcy.
