Jeslan (जैसलान), is a village in Ladnu tehsil of Nagaur district in Rajasthan.

Location

PIN Code of the village is: 341303. It is situated 35km away from Ladnu town and 90km away from Nagaur city. Being a large village, Jeslan has its own gram panchayat. Meendasari, Indrapura and Dhyawa are some of the neighbouring villages.

Origin

History

Jeslan Village in Ladnun Tehsil is a village of Rathore Clan. There is a saying that two swords can't reside in one sheath but here Rajput and Jat both were strong and warrior clans and lived peacefully and respected each other. In many historic pothi (History books of bhat) there are a few examples where Rajputs and Jats used to have strong bonding and respect for each other. Jeslan have a good strength of jats and are flourishing peacefully in the field of farming, cattle husbandry, army and in land business. Current Jeslan Thakur resides in Jaipur now. They didn't give any attention to their village since long but recently younger brother Th. Kalyan Singh have started showing interest in his village, they are also building a haveli on their old structure.
