Chaudhary Jhandu Singh Tokas was a great philanthropist, who lived in the first half of the 20th Century and built many cow shelters 'Gaushallas' and also donated his own property for the noble cause of upliftment of his community and people. A road, in South Delhi posh Safdarjung Enclave, has been named after his name. His descendants still remain in Mohammadpur South Delhi village in South Delhi. His 'Chhatri' and other properties are still there in the village.
