Jwala River (ज्वाला नदी) originates from a place about 7 kms north of Amarkantak in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh, India. At this spot there is a temple of Jwaleshvara Mahadeva. [1]

ज्वाला नदी

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...ज्वाला नदी (AS, p.377) का उद्गम स्थान अमरकंटक से 4 मील (लगभग 6.4 कि.मी.) की दूरी पर उत्तर की ओर है, जहाँ 'ज्वालेश्वर महादेव' का प्राचीन मंदिर स्थित है। इस नदी का स्कंदपुराण, रेवाखंड में भी उल्लेख है।
