Location of Kamalpura in Bharatpur District

Kamalpura (कमालपुरा) is a village in Wair tehsil of Bharatpur district in Rajasthan. It is a village of Sinsinwar gotra Jats.

Location

It is situated on Agra-Bikaner NH-11 and is the last village of Bharatpur district.

This village has about 443 families and out of them, 80-85 are Sinsinwar Jats. They came from Bartai village.


History

It is said to have been founded by Kamal Khan, a chieftain of Sher Shah Suri.

Population

According to Census-2011 information:

With total 443 families residing, Kamalpura village has the population of 2629 (of which 1423 are males while 1206 are females).[1]

Monuments

The village has a temple dedicated to Hanumanji on the bank of River Banganga.

Kamalpura in Amritsar

Kamalpura is also the name of a village in Amritsar district, under Ajnala tahsil.
