Bhadwa Ugam Jat Pillar Inscription of samvat 1116

Thakur Deshraj [1] has mentioned about a Stone Pillar Inscription of samvat 1116 (1059 AD) installed in village Bhadwa near a well. The village has an ancient well and a Baori. The well was built by very huge stone slabs and is a unique example of architecture. In the north of this well is a huge blue stone pillar installed by Ugam Jat in samvat 1116. On the south of this Kirtistambha is shown Ugam Jat riding a horse and attacking an enemy with sword. There is one enemy shown near the feet of his horse in slaughtered condition. On the northern face of pillar is shown Lord Krishna with shankha, chakra, gada and padma on his head. Near the feet of Lord Krishna is engraved following inscription which reads:

उगम जाट भादवा का संवत 1116 विक्रम आषाढ़ सुदी ९ मंगलवार ।
Translation - Ugam Jat of Bhadwa vikram samvat 1116 ashadh sudi 9 Tuesday.
