Karkedi (करकेड़ी ) or Karkeri (करकेड़ी )village in Nawa tahsil of Nagaur district in Rajasthan.

Location

Its Location is on Kuchaman-Danta road. Pincode of the village is 341508. It is situated 47km away from Nawa town and 125km away from Nagaur city. Parewadi is the gram panchayat of Karkeri village. Kaloli, Chawandiya and Baralpura are some of the nearby villages.

Origin

Was founded by Ranwa Jats.

History

Sahajarao was the ancestor of Ranwa gotra Jats who left Nagaur in vikram samvat 1111 and founded village Saamikhera and constructed a fort and a Shiva temple there. Later on his 12 sons founded villages Jachas, Bhikhanwasi, Khanadi, Karkedi, Maulasar, Makrana, Bai, Buchyasi, Bhurbhura, Jabdinagar, Chausal and Hirani.
