Kirti Chakra
Kirti Chakra is an Indian military decoration awarded for valour, courageous action or self-sacrifice away from the field of battle. It may be awarded to civilians as well as military personnel, including posthumous awards. It is the peacetime equivalent of the Maha Vir Chakra. It is second in order of precedence of peacetime gallantry awards; it comes after Ashoka Chakra and before Shaurya Chakra. Before 1967, the award was known as the Ashoka Chakra, Class II.

- Mahendra Singh Dantusalia (Subedar) was awarded Sena Medal in 2013 for killing a Pakistan Soldier crossing the Line of Control. Again in 2015 he was awarded Kirti Chakra for his bravery in killing terrorists. Unit: 9 Parachute Regiment.
- Rajendra Singh Beniwal (Naik) was awarded Kirti Chakra for his act of bravery in fighting with militants in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. He is from Dhangar village in Fatehabad tahsil and district in Haryana.

- Sukhvinder Jeet Randhawa (Major), Kirti Chakra (posthumous) became martyr of militancy on 17.06.1997 at Kashipur village in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Unit: 167 Medium Regiment (Regiment of Artillery). He belongs to Gurdaspur district in Punjab.
- VP Singh Tomar became martyr on 18.12.1961 during Goa liberation movement in Anjadip Island. He was awarded Kirti Chakra for his act of bravery. He was from village Baoli in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh.
- Unit - INS Venduruthy.
- Nawab Singh Tomar (Naik) became martyr of militancy in Badgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. He was awarded Kirti Chakra (posthumous) for his act of bravery. He was from Dhikana village in Baraut tahsil of Bagpat district in Uttar Pradesh.
