History
मालेगाँव, जिला नांदेड़
मालेगाँव (AS, p.740) , कंदहार तालुका, जिला नांदेड़, महाराष्ट्र में स्थित है. इस स्थान पर एक अतिप्राचीन वार्षिक मेला लगता है जिसकी परंपरा काकातीय-नरेश माधववर्मन् द्वारा प्रारंभ की गई थी. माधववर्मन् को पशुओं विशेषकर अश्वों की विविध जातियों का अच्छा ज्ञान था और उनके नस्लें सुधारने का भी शौक था. इस मेले में दूर-दूर से घोड़े आदि आते थे.[2]
