Location

Maniyar is a Village in Garwar Block in Ballia District of Uttar Pradesh State, India. It belongs to Azamgarh Division . It is located 17 KM towards west from District head quarters Ballia. 3 KM from Garwar. 384 KM from State capital Lucknow. Maniyar Pin code is 277121 and postal head office is Garwar. This Place is in the border of the Ballia District and Ghazipur District. Ghazipur District Varachakwar is west towards this place . Also it is in the Border of other district Buxar . It is near to the Bihar State Border. [1]

History

Nawka Baba Temple:The nawka baba temple is very old and it is one of the most famous temples of this town. It is famous for its spirits which is said to be come out from a body of a person ongoing to this temple. It is related to black magic. there is a pond near the temple. A fair is held in the temple complex in April and October month for 15 days where people come from far away places for worshiping nawka baba. A small temple at a 100-meter distance from nawka baba temple, The sataku baba or bhudhwa baba temple is also famous for the same reasons. the most famous fact is " nawka baba temple is very unique temple found at this place.

मनियर, जिला बलिया, उ.प्र., (p.710): यह स्थान सरयू तट पर है. कहा जाता है कि मेधस ऋषि जिनका उल्लेख दुर्गा सप्तमी में है, का आश्रम मनियर में स्थित था. यहां का चतुर्मुखी देवी दुर्गा का मंदिर इन से संबंधित कथा का स्मारक है. [2]
