Location of Rivers and Panch Prayag
Nandakini (नंदाकिनी) is one of the six main tributaries of the Ganges river.[1] Originating in the glaciers below Nanda Ghunti on the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, the river joins the Alaknanda at Nandaprayag (870m), which is one of the Panchaprayagas or holy confluences on the Alaknanda.

नंदाकिनी
विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...नंदाकिनी नदी (AS, p.471) नंदा देवी पर्वत से निकल कर नंदप्रयाग में आकर अलकनंदा से मिलती है। नंदाकिनी नदी उद्गम उत्तराखंड से है। यह सागर तल से 2805 फ़ीट की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है । नंदाकिनी नदी मंदाकिनी की सहचरी है जो केदारनाथ के पहाड़ों से मिलकर अलकनंदा से रुद्रप्रयाग में मिल जाती है। नंदाकिनी नदी गंगा नदी की पांच आरंभिक सहायक नदियों में से एक है।
