Prabhakara (प्रभाकर) was a Nagavanshi King.

Bhakar (भाकर) Bhakkar (भाकर) Bhaskar (भास्कर) Bhaskara (भास्कर) Bhakhar (भाकर) Bhankhar (भांखर) Bhankal (भांकल) Gotra originated from Nagavanshi ruler Prabhakara. [1]

In Mahabharata

Adi Parva, Mahabharata/Mahabharata Book I Chapter 35 mentions the names of chief Nagas. Prabhakara was one of them:

कुञ्जरः कुररश चैव तथा नागः परभा करः
कुमुदः कुमुदाक्षश च तित्तिरिर हलिकस तथा
कर्कराकर्करौ चॊभौ कुण्डॊदर महॊदरौ Mahabharata (1.35.15)
