Rajmachi (राजमाची) is site of a Fort, one of the many historical forts in the rugged hills of Sahyadri mountains (Western Ghats) in Pune District of Maharashtra, India.

The fort played a strategic role in the First Anglo-Maratha War.[1]

Rajmachi Fort has been declared as a protected monument.[2]

Rajmachi Fort consists of two twin fortresses Shriwardhan Ballekilla and Manaranjan Balekilla, with a wide machi (plateau) surrounding the two Balekillas. Udhewadi is a small village of about 60 households (as per 2011 census report) situated on the machi, at the southern foot of Manaranjan Balekilla of Rajmachi Fort.[3]

राजमाची

राजमाची (AS, p.782): महाराष्ट्र स्थित ऐतिहासिक स्थान है। यहाँ का दुर्ग 17वीं शती में बीजापुर रियायत के अधिकार में था। 'महाराष्ट्र केसरी' छत्रपति शिवाजी ने इस दुर्ग को बीजापुर के सुल्तान से छीन लिया था। यह क़िला उत्तर महाल के उन नौ क़िलो में से एक था, जिन पर शिवाजी ने अधिकार कर लिया था।[4]
