Ramesh Panwar (रमेश पंवार) Born on 27 March, 1974 is one of best known Ex-Captain and Player of Indian Kabaddi Team. He is well known name as "Ramesh Kirmaria" in the world of Kabaddi. He lead India in 14th and 15th asian games and won the gold medals. He was also captain of team during first kabaddi world cup in 2004. Now he is giving his service in Haryana Police.[1]

Early Life

Born on 27 March 1974 at Kirmara village in Hindu Jat family in Hisar district of Haryana.

Education

Ramesh Panwar completed his primary education from Govt. Secondary School, Kirmara.

Sports Career

Ramesh is very active in sports since his childhood and at school level tournament. First he highlighted after leading as captain of Indian Kabaddi team in the 14th Asian Game 2002 in Busan and won the Gold medal. Again in 15th Asian Game, Doha he repeat the history and team won the Gold medal. The first Kabaddi world Cup 2004 team also won during his captain-ship.

Honour and Awards

Ramesh Panwar has been awarded 'Arjuna Award'[2] by the President of India in 2005. He also won various medals in different National and international championship.
