Rangamati (Hindi: रांगामाटी, Bengali: রাঙামাটি) is a city of Rangamati Hill District in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh.
Location
It is also a capital city of Chittagong Hill Tracts. The town is located at 22°37'60N 92°12'0E and has an altitude of 14 metres. From Chittagong a 77 km road leads to Rangamati. The township is located on the western bank of the Kaptai lake.

History
रक्तमृतिका
रक्तमृतिका (AS, p.774) जिला मुर्शिदाबाद, बांग्लादेश में स्थित है जो वर्तमान रांगामाटी (Rangamati) है. रक्तमृतिका इस जिले का अति प्राचीन स्थान है. यहां के निवासी महानायक बुद्धगुप्त का एक अभिलेख जो चौथी सती ई. का है, मलाया प्रायद्वीप के वेलेजली जिले में प्राप्त हुआ था. [1]
