Ranwa (रणवा)[1] [2] Ranwan (रणवां) Ranwah (रणवाह) Rinwa (रिणवा) Radwa (रड़वा) Ranawa (रणावा) is gotra of Jats found in Rajasthan,[3] Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Origin

This gotra originated from ranbankure people who were very ferocious warriors. [4] [5]

History

According to the historical records of Ranwa gotra Rao Mutia Kamas of Dahiya Kshatriya clan came from Kannauj in samvat 905 (848 AD) and constructed a fort in Nagaur city in Rajasthan. Lakhan Rao, Ballu Rao, Joon Rao and Pipa Rao ruled here for about 200 years. Rao Pipaji married with Deyoo Jakhar the daughter of Maihan Raja. Their sons were Sahajarao, Rajdeo, Mandeo, and Gangdeo. The descendants of each originated separate Jats clans:

Saamikhera Inscription of Malashi Ranwa s.v.1485 (1428 AD)

There is an inscription of the year s.v.1485 (1428 AD) of a Ranwa warrior named Malashi in village Sami at Shiva temple.

The book Arabic, Persian and Urdu Inscriptions of West India by Dr. Ziyaud-Din Abdul-Hayy Desai provides a comprehensive list of more than 2,000 inscriptions from West Indian states. This book mentions about the Inscription of Sami at At S.No. 254.[6]

रिनवा और बलहारों में लड़ाई

बलहारा: मारवाड़ में बलहारा जाटों का भी एक समय बड़ा राज्य था. बाकी, बिलाड़ा, बालोतरा उन्हीं राज्यों के प्रसिद्ध नगर थे. डीडवाना परगने के मौलासर पर भी उन्हीं की सत्ता थी. बाद में बलहारों ने मौलासर के पास रिणवा जाटों के राज्य कोयलपाटन (कौलिया) पर कब्जा कर लिया. उस दौरान कोयलपाटन में रिनवा और बलहारों में लड़ाई हुई थी, जिनमें कई रिणवा मारे गए थे. यहाँ कई रिणवा सतियों की मूर्तियाँ मौजूद हैं. इस इलाके पर आज से चार सौ वर्ष पहले तक बलहारे जाट अपना प्रभुत्व रखते थे. जिन दिनों दौलतखां नागौर का सूबेदार था, उस समय बुलाजी बलहारा इस इलाके के 57 गाँवों का सरदार थ. झाडोद पट्टी उसके हाथ में थी और वह मौलासर में रहता था. उसने गौचर भूमि के लिए एक बड़ी बीड छोड़ी थी और तीन हजार बीघा भूमि उसने अपने चारण को दान में दी थी जो आज भी उस चारण के वंशजों के अधिकार में है. Sahajarao left Nagaur in vikram samvat 1111 and founded village Saamikhera and constructed fort and Shiva temple there. Later on 12 sons of Sahaja founded the villages Jachas, Bhikhanwasi, Khanadi, Karkedi, Maulasar, Makrana, Bai, Buchyasi, Bhurbhura, Jabdinagar, Chausal and HiraniBarekan.
