Subahupura (सुबाहुपुर), capital city of King Subahu, is a mentioned in Mahabharata (III.174.12) located near Badrinarayan in Himalayas. It was the present Tehri Garhwal region in Uttarakhand. Pandavas are said to have stayed here for some time. [1]

Adi Parva, Mahabharata/Book I Chapter 108 mentions the Names of Dhritarashtra's hundred sons. Subahu (सुबाहु) (Naga)/(Dhritarashtra's son) is mentioned in Mahabharata (I.108.3). [2]....Vinda and Anuvinda, Durdharsha, Subahu, Dushpradharshana, Durmarshana and Durmukha, Dushkarna, and Karna;

Adi Parva, Mahabharata/Book I Chapter 61 gives genealogy of the Danavas, Asuras, Kauravas, Pandavas, Gandharvas, Apsaras, Rakshasas. Subahu (सुबाहु) is mentioned in Mahabharata (I.61.55). [4].....And, O king, from the tribe of Asuras called Krodhavasa, were born many heroic kings on earth. Madraka (?Nandika), and Karnaveshta, Siddhartha, and also Kitaka; Suvira, and Subahu, and Mahavira, and also Balhika,....


[[Vana Parva, Mahabharata/Book III Chapter 174] describes Pandvas journey in twelfth year of their sojourn in forests having arrived reach Saraswati River. Subahu (सुबाहु) is mentioned in Mahabharata (III.174.11). [5]....Then all those warriors having in due course happily lived at Badari for one month, proceeded towards the realm of Subahu, king of the Kiratas, by following the same track by which they had come. And crossing the difficult Himalayan regions, and the countries of China, Tukhara, Darada, Darva and all the climes of Kulinda, rich in heaps of jewels, those warlike men reached the capital of Subahu (Subahupura).


Udyoga Parva/Mahabharata Book V Chapter 101 describes Bhogavati city and innumerable Nagas dwelling there. Subahu (सुबाहु) Naga is mentioned in Mahabharata (V.101.16). [6].....Virajas, Dharana, Subahu, Mukhara, Jaya, Badhira, Andha, Vikunda, Virasa, and Surasa.


Shalya Parva, Mahabharata/Book IX Chapter 44 describes the Kings and clans who joined the ceremony for investing Kartikeya with the status of generalissimo. सुबाहुपुर (AS, p.975): 'अतीत्य दुर्गं हिमवत्प्रदेशं सुबाहोर्ददृशुनृर्वीरा:' महाभारत वन पर्व 177,12. हिमालय पर्वत में बद्रीनारायण के निकट नगर जिसकी स्थिति वर्तमान टिहरी-गढ़वाल के क्षेत्र में थी यहां अपनी हिमालय यात्रा में पांडव कुछ समय ठहरे थे. [8]
