Subedar Major Kehri Singh Ahlawat was born in Dighal village, which is now part of Jhajjar district, but at that time, fell in Rohtak District of Haryana.

He served in 1st Jat Regiment and fought in the First World War with 1st Jat in France and Palestine. He distinguished himself in the war and was awarded the title of Rai Bahadur. He was made Sub-Registrar and Magistrate at Rohtak. He was granted 100 acres of land at Lyallpur now in Pakistan. After Partion of the country in 1947 he was given 60 acres of land in lieu at Dujana village.

He had 4 sons, of whom Brigadier Ran Singh and Lt Col. Hukam Singh Ahlawat were educated at King George's Royal Military School Ajmer, now known as Rashtriya Military School. Both fought in the 2nd World War in Burma as young officers in the Jat Regiment as part of the famous 14th Army of then General William Slim, later Lord Slim and Chief of Imperial General Staff Britain. Sultan Singh was the eldest and farmed his land at Dujana village Jhajjar. The youngest Headmaster Inder Singh was a school teacher who retired as Principal.
