Khanpur Village was founded by CH.Dhulla Ram Dhaka , and the all cates in Village are DHAKA Gotaras, and village is situated on Indo Pak Bouder, and village was distoried in 1965, 1971 Indo Pak war, and Ch.Krishan Kumar Dhaka grand son Of Late Ch. Dulla Ram Dhaka was the First Jat who started his Business in Chandigarh and setteled in Chandigarh since 1959

The name Dhaka is a common nomenclature for villages. The first village after crossing the Khyber pass from east to west is Kama-i Dhaka. There are lot of villages in the FATA agencies of Mohmand and Bajaur that have this name Dhaka. Also, apart from the Dhakershwari anecdote the othe story of B'desh Dhaka is that Subedar Islam Khan an Afghan Sardar had asked one of his drummers to stand atop hill and beat the drum. He then asked his men to define the laldora, ie, the village boundary till far the sound is heard. Therefore, the village Dhaka got its name, which later expanded to Dhaka town.
