Virendra Singh Laur

Virendra Singh Laur is a Social Worker, famous Politician and an influential Jat leader. He was born at village Hurthala (हुर्थला), Surjavli ,district Bulandshahar Uttar Pradesh.

Political Career

He is a former Block Pramukh of Shikarpur Block (from 1988-1995) and also won Zila Panchayat or District council (India) election by a record margin in UP during 2000 elections. During this time, he held the position of State Secretary in Rashtriya Lok Dal before resigning from the party and the post in 2001. He also contested in 1998 Lok Sabha elections from Bulandshahr constituency on Bhartiya Kisan Kamgar Party (RLD) ticket. He has been an active social and political figure in Western UP and have held positions such as President of Bulandshahar district Jat Mahasabha.

In October 2021, he joined Bhartiya Janta Party citing its policies for the upliftment of poor and nation building.
