Sanghi
Sanghi (सांघी) is a historical village in Rohtak tahsil and district of Haryana, India.

History
It is main village of Hooda Jats. Chauhan Jats founded the village. Prithvi Raj Chauhan’s son was Arade Chauhan. His grandson was Bihal and Ul’s fifth son Gegala founded the Sanghi village in 1263 AD. The name of village is based on river Sanghu that used to flow in this area. The village was founded after some years of origin of Hooda clan.

- Deswal (5 families only) - गाँव सांघी में देशवाल परिवार अपने नाना के हक में आकर बसा है । यह परिवार दमकन खेड़ी से आया है । लिखे जाने तक यहाँ पर देशवाल गौत्र के लगभग 5 परिवार हैं । इनकी अपनी खेत की जमीन है ।[3]

It has a population of 10000 out of which 7000 are Jats. All Jats belong to Hooda gotra.

- Late Matu Ram Hooda - A prominent person in the times of Sir Chhotu Ram[4].
- Late Ch. Badlu Ram Hooda, noted freedom fighter and two time M L A, Punjab Legislative Assembly from Meham constituency.
- Late Choudhary Ranbir Singh Hooda - Freedom fighter, former MP, member of Constitution Committee, Minister in Punjab and then in Haryana Govts.
- Bhupinder Singh Hooda - Presently Chief Minister of Haryana.
- Deepender Hooda - Member, Lok Sabha, from Rohtak constituency.
- Late Dr. Sarup Singh - Former Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, former M.P. and former Governor of Gujarat.
- Samunder Singh Hooda (Lance Havildar) is Martyr of Kargil war. He became martyr on 03 June 1999 during operation Vijay. He was From village Sanghi, district Rohtak in Haryana. Unit-18 Grenadiers. He was awarded Sena Medal (posthumous).
