Tatran
Tatran (तातरान)[1] Tataran (तातरान)[2] Tatrana (तातराणा)[3] is a Gotra of Jats found in Uttar Pradesh. Dilip Singh Ahlawat has mentioned it as one of the ruling Jat clans in Central Asia. [4] They are branch of Gora.[5]
Origin
This gotra is said to be originated from Mahapurusha named Tatarama (तातराम). They are from branch of Gulias. [6]
History
Bhim Singh Dahiya writes: They are the Tatars of Central Asia (Tatren in German) and perhaps, the Tittira of Mahabharata who were fighting of the side of Pandavas. [7] [8] Dilip Singh Ahlawat has mentioned it as one of the ruling Jat clans in Central Asia.[9]
