  1. The Glossary of Rajasthani Language contains Rajasthani romanized words, the words in Devanagari script and Hindi equivalents with meaning in English.

a desert cerial crop which is most common food grain Bajra is the most widely grown type of Pearl millet in Rajasthan. Botanical name Pennisetum glaucum, बाजरा bājrā [S. वाज+र, 'food'], s.m. A species of panic or millit, panicum spicatum (it is, par excellence, the 'food' of the poorer classes):--bājrā-sā bikharnā, 'To be scattered like "bājrā';" to be restless, uneasy, "disturbed;" to be weary or tired:--bājrā-murg, s.m. A speckled fowl (particularly a black fowl with yellow spots of the size of a grain of bājrā).

Banā Banī बना बनी - शादी होने वाले युवक व युवती
groom and bride, राजस्थानी संस्कृति के अनुसार जिस युवक व युवती की शादी होने वाली होती है, उस युवक को बना तथा युवती को बनी कहा जाता है। विवाह के अवसर बना-बनी बनकर जो गीत गाये जाते है, वे ‘बना-बनी’ कहलाते है।

Bāṅṭnā बांटना - बांटना
bāṅṭnā [S. वण्टनीयं]: v.t. To divide, ap- portion, distribute, portion out, parcel out, divide into "shares;" to dispense, dispose of, "assign;" to participate, go shares in:--bāṅṭ denā, v.t. To divide, portion out (for, or in the name of, -par), &c.=bāṅṭnā, q.v.:--bāṅṭ lenā, v.t. To participate, go shares in, &c.
Bāṅḍā बांडा - बांडा
bāṅḍā [S. वण्ड+कः]: adj. & s.m Maimed, "crippled;" "docked;" "tailless;--a" tailless "bird;" a tailless "snake;" a man who has been circumcised (applied as a term of abuse to Musalmans, especially in Bengal).
Bārā बारा = बारह
adj. Twelve (=bārah, q.v.):--bārā-jorī, s.f. lit. 'Twelve-fold force "(zor)';" force, violence, "compulsion;--adv." By "force;--bārā-jorī" karnā, To use force, bear strongly upon, to press, constrain, compel:--bārā-darī and bārā-singhā, see s.v. bārah:--bārā- khaṛī, s.f. (in Gram.), The aggregate of the twelve short vowels of the Nāgarī alphabet in combination with con- sonants (e.g. ka, kā, ki, kī, "&c.);" a kind of song, every line of which begins with a consonant.
Bārānī बारानी - बारानी
crop based on rain water. (rel. n. from bārān), adj. Depending or "rain;--s.f." Land depending on rain, unirrigated land (in contradistinction to ćāhī, "q.v.);" a woollen coat or cloak to protect one from the rain, overcoat, water-proof:--bārānī khet, s.m. A field the irrigation of which is dependent on rain.

ब्रात brāt [S. वर+यात्रा, and व्रात]: s.f. The procession of the bridegroom (to the house of the bride), marriage "procession;" the company or attendants at a "marriage;" multitude, flock, assemblage, troop, "crowd;--a" suit at cards:--barāt-kā ćaṛhnā, The setting out of the bridegroom in procession (to the house of the bride):--barāt karnā, barāt meṅ jānā, v.n. To join in a marriage procession.
Bāretī बारेती - बैलों या ऊंट की सहायता से कुएं से पानी निकालना
taking out water from a well using bulls or camel, प्रातःकाल 4 बजे जब शीतकाल में किसान बैलों या ऊंट की सहायता से कुएं से पानी निकालते हैं तो वह गीत गाया करते हैं । इन्हें ‘बारेती’ गीत कहते हैं । इन गीतों में भक्ति से संबंधित गीत भी होते हें । बारेती गीतों में नीति तथा श्रृंगार आदि के दोहे से होते हैं।

festival in which people worship "Sheetla Mata," the goddess of small-pox on Sheetla Ashtama day; People don't cook any food and would eat the food made of earlier day. They make seven dishes, the day before and then do pooja and they eat those the whole day. Small pox is supposed to be caused by heat, that is the myth behind this festival.

Bāṭī बाटी - बाटी
Baati is a hard, unleavened bread cooked in desert areas of Rajasthan, Malwa and Gujarat in North India. It is prized there for its exceptionally long life and high energy content, as well as the minimal quantity of water required in its preparation. It is always eaten with dal. Baati can have various kinds of fillings, including onions, peas, sattu, etc. Bafla and baati are always eaten with hot dal with loads of pure ghee and chatni. They are a must preparation when folks out there go out for picnic and prepare food at the spot.
Baṭoḍā - गोबर की थेपड़ी थाप कर उन्हें पिरामिडीय आकृति में एक दूजे पर सलीक़े से व्यवस्थित कर उसके ऊपर गोबर का मोटा लेप किया गया ढाँचा जिसे बपरांवडा भी कहते हैं, H बिटौरा: biṭaurā [S. विट्+वट+कः], s.m. Heap of cakes of dried cowdung (used for fuel).

also called Mayero, maternal uncles bring gifts for the Mother , भात व माहेरा, भात भरना राजस्थान की एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रथा है। इसे 'माहेरा या मायरा' भी कहते हैं। जिस स्त्री के घर पुत्र या पुत्री का विवाह पड़ता है वह घर की अन्य स्त्रियों के साथ परात में गेहूँ और गुड़ लेकर पीहरवालों को निमंत्रण देने जाती है। इसको 'भात' कहते हैं। मेवाड़ में इसे बत्तीसी कहते हैं। मूल रूप में भात भाई को दिया जाता है। भाई के अभाव में पीहर के अन्य लोग'माहेरा' स्वीकार कर वस्त्र तथा धन सहायता के रूप में देते हैं। इस अवसर पर भात गीत की तरह अनेक गीत गाए जाते हैं।

scorpion, 'बिच्छुड़ो' हाडौती क्षेत्र का लोकप्रिय गीत जिसमें एक स्त्री जिसे बिच्छु ने काट लिया है और उसे मृत्यु तुल्य कष्ट होता जिस कारण वह पति को दूसरा विवाह करने का संदेश देती है।
