Kulawat (कूलावत) Kolanwat (कोलांवत) Kolyawat (कोल्यावत) Kolawat (कोलावत) Jat Gotra is found in Rajasthan.

Origin

  • The capital of Jat ruler Chitravarma was Kulut (कुलूत). Inhabitants of Kulut were known as Kulawat.[1]

History

Kuluta (कुलूत) - Hailed from the modern Kulu- Kangra region and fought on the side of the Kauravas (VI.10.52), (VII.8.45).

काश्मीराः सिन्धुसौवीरा गान्धारा दर्शकास तदा
अभीसारा कुलूताश च शौवला बाह्लिकास तदा (VI.10.52)
The Mahabharata Tribe - Kuluta (कुलूत) may be identified with Jat Gotra - Kulawat (कूलावत)[2] or Kalwana (कलवाना). [3]
