Sambar
Sambar (साम्बर)[1] Sanbar (सांबर)[2] is a Muslim Jat clan found in Pakistan.

Pliny[3] mentions Arabia....We find also the islands of Pteros, Labatanis, Coboris, and Sambrachate, with a town of the same name28 on the mainland.

Population
According to 1911 census the Sambar were the principal Muslim Jat clan in Dera Ghazi Khan District with population of Sambar ( 2,030) . [4]
