Soubari Rishi Entered Yamuna and went on tapas for a long time. He saw a group of fish swimming with its leader pair. His penance came to a naught and had a desire to enter into marital bliss went to the king Mandhata who had fifty daughters and asked for hand of one daughter. By seeing ugly viriddha old aged face of the rishi said that he will conduct a swyamwar of all daughters and would pick up their grooms. Soubari knew the thinking of this idea to reject him a hand for any of his daughters, he by his yogic power transformed into a lovely handsome yuvaraj entered the swyamwar. On seeing the handsome all the fifty daughters wanted to marry the same. Soubari accepted all and made fifty houses for them and with all his magic powers, he stayed with each and every wife the same time and every queen was happy and even proud that herself is most loved than others. In a good amount of time with each queen he had 10 children each and had a total of 500 children. with such a wonderful marital bliss, he remembered the group of fish which made him to desire for marital life, he went back to his penance leaving all the family. There is a vedic hymn for a bride seeking blessings for children, sanskrit verse goes like thi [ Imam tvam indra midavas suputraagum subhagaaam kuru | dasaasyaam putraan aadehi patim ekaadasaam krdhi||]
