Tasingu () or Tasinga () is a large village in Sadabad Tahsil of Mathura (presently in Hathras) district in Uttar Pradesh.

Origin and History

Mathura, a Gazetteer 1984 (pp.338-339) mentions about Tasigau as, This is a large agricultural village in 27°25'N. and 77° 56'E., distant 18 miles from Muttra and six miles from Sadabad. It was founded by a Haga Jat from Susahar, called Adu Pal, and his descendants still own part of the village, the rest having passed into the hands of Brahmans, Banias and other purchasers. The village has an area of 2,354 acres and is assessed to a (p.338 ends) demand of Rs. 7,302. It contains a primary school. Jats are the numerically strongest Hindu caste in the place, and of the total population of 2,251 persons Hindus number 2,167, Muhammadans 64, and persons of other religions 20.
