Location of Tehat near Suliwas in north of Danta in Sikar district

Tehat (टेहट) or Thehat (ठेहट) is a village in Danta Ramgarh tehsil of Sikar district in Rajasthan. It is near village Roopgarh.

It is located 9 km south of Jeenmata. Coordinates: 27°21'54"N 75°12'42"E

History

The Burdak Bard in Burdak Gotra Ka Itihas mentions a village ठठोभी which could not be identified. It may probably be Tehat. Harsha Inscription mentions a village ट्वांठ in Line-39 donated by religious persons. It may probably be Tehat. This needs further research.

हर्ष शिलालेख वर्ष 973 की लाइन 34 -39 में उन गाँवों के नाम आये हैं जिन्हें विभिन्न शासकों या उनके सरदारों ने अपने नियंत्रित क्षेत्र से हर्षदेव को चढ़ाये. पुण्यात्माओं द्वारा भेंट गए गांवों में एक नाम है - ट्वांठ जो सम्भवत टेहट गाँव है.
