Places You Travelled and Would like To Travel

This is a very interesting thread. Every member gets opportunity to travel various parts in the world. We can compile very useful information from these travel notes or diaries. It is proposed to bring these notes on Jatland Wiki user page and provide a category Tours and Travels so that these can be searched easily.

I will like to take this opportunity and tell a bit about my story. Lot has changed in my village like all villages I supposes. Most changes have been for worst in my view. Almost all open spaces are gone. Very few people now sit outside their houses. Kids street games are gone for ever. Falgun dances and singing and Teez swings all have disappeared. Holi competitions are gone. Having no real attraction in village, me and my brother decided to shift our residence to our farm outside the village. We live literally a jungle life there with our animals, dogs and plants. Moonlit nights are great and I often take extended walks under the open sky late in nights. Sounds of jackals in the background are quite common followed by dogs. Our maternal brother lives with us who is a great depository of rustic rural jokes. To be very honest, I will trade anything for the life at farm. I rarely visit village now and whenever in India, spend more time at farm. ..... Cont

I would like to visit again Dal Lake, Kashmir.

What can be said about this heavenly place that hasn’t been said already? Officially known as the 'jewel crown of Kashmir', it is known to be an integral part of tourism & recreation. It offers everyone with a breath-taking view & people who visit this place keep coming back for more.
 
Regarding Kashmir -

यदि पृथ्वी पर कहीं स्वर्ग है तो यहीं कश्मीर में है।
 
nani and dadi house, two places would be always special even if we have to stay locked in house .... :victorious:......dadda or nana would be there to show their faces first :sleeping:
 
Visited Meerut Medical College Hostel Room where my late wife used to stay during her MD. Took the picture of the room door with its number plate. Have many sweet memories of that room as that is where we started our married life. Also traveled the road which we used to take to reach her home during vacations. Stopped at all those points where we used to take break. Hope to repeat once or twice again before I am too old to travel.

Delhi is one of the best places I find to travel beause of its rich heritage. Also, it is within comfort of commuting. Also, it gives me lively feel beacuse of the life maintained in the city. This is the reason that I am not fascinated towards Mumbai or Chennai.
 
Delhi is the worst place on the planet to live in.

Jaipur used to be a good place to live but now it is becoming a polluted city, full of stray cattle on roads, monkey menace in the houses etc.
