Capt NS Ahlawat is the recipient of Sena Medal, Shaurya Chakra (posthumous).


A brave Jat Soldier who laid down his life for the country. He belonged to village Dighal and followed the tradition of the family. Son of Maj Ran Singh, studied in Sainik School & joined Army. Got commissioned in 15 Grenadiers and straightaway went for 1971 war.

Won Sena Medal for his bravery. Laid down his life in 1974 in insurgency in Nagaland while saving his men.

Awarded Shaurya Chakra (Posthomous)
