Raj Sirohi is producer and director of the television program Poughkeepsie Live. Raj Sirohi directs his production crew like an orchestra conductor and rallies them like a basketball coach in double overtime.

"Poughkeepsie Live" has been on the air for 15 years, the last 12 under Sirohi, who works as a production technician for Time Warner Cable 6's Poughkeepsie Bureau. The program can be seen live on Thursday at 7 p.m. It is replayed that same evening at 8, Friday at 9:30 p.m. and Monday at 9 p.m. Time Warner Cable 6 reaches 200,000 homes in Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, Sullivan and Greene counties.

Just about every Thursday at 7 p.m., Sirohi oversees a live broadcast of "Poughkeepsie Live," a half-hour television program on Time Warner Cable 6 that features local and national musicians.

Watching Sirohi and his crew behind the cameras is nerve-wracking, exhilarating and truly thrilling. Sirohi seemingly watches the action with eyes in the back of his head, as the two eyes he has are working double-time.

"It is fun, it is exciting and it can be a bit on the edge of your seat," Sirohi said. "It keeps you on your full game. It's really exciting to put this whole thing together."
