Remuna (रेमुणा) is a town and tahsil in Baleshwar district in the Indian state of Odisha. It is famous for the Khirachora Gopinatha Temple.

Remuna is a Town in Remuna Tehsil in Baleshwar District of Odisha State, India. It is located 5 KM towards North from District head quarters Balasore. It is a Tehsil head quarter. Remuna Pin code is 756019 and postal head office is Remuna. Patripal ( 4 KM ) , Badapal ( 5 KM ) , Baleshwar ( 5 KM ) , Nuagan ( 5 KM ) , Kuruda ( 6 KM ) are the nearby Villages to Remuna. [1]

History

Kshirachora Gopinatha Temple: This is an ancient Gopinatha temple built in the 12th century by King Langula Narasinha Deba of Utkala. Built in a Utkaliya style of temple architecture this temple is surrounded by few Mathas and temples along with the principal deity Gopinatha. Kheera Bhoga and Abadha prasada are the famous Bhoga of this temple.

रेमुणा

रेमुणा (AS, p.800): उड़ीसा का एक ऐतिहासिक स्थान है, जो बालासौर से 6 मील की दूरी पर सप्तशरा नदी के तट पर स्थित है। कहा जाता है कि पुरी जाते समय श्री चैतन्य महाप्रभु इस स्थान पर ठहरे थे। यहाँ लांगुला नरसिंहदेव ने गोपीनाथ का भव्य मंदिर बनवाया था।[2]
