Shish Ram Punia

Shish Ram Punia was a freedom fighter from village Kharak Punia in district Hisar. He was born to Dhunda Devi and Hardas on 7th October 1903.[1]

In Freedom Movement

He started to work for the freedom of the country from the British in 1937 and for his active participation in the Individual Stayagrah Movement started by the Congress in 1940-41, he was imprisoned for rigorous imprisonment for one year.[2]

Honoured

He was honoured by granting Tamar-Patra and pension as freedom fighter by Government of India.[3]
