He was from Kajroth in Iglas tahsil, Aligarh district in Uttar Pradesh. He was MLA from Iglas Assembly of Aligarh 2 times in 1 and 3 assembly 1952 and 1962. His son Chaudhary Rajendra Singh became 4 times MLA from Iglas and Minister. Sheodan Singh defeated Raja Kishori Raman Singh Mursan in 1951 and his wife Rani Harish Kumari Mursan in 1962. Sheodan's son Rajendra defeated Usha Rani Tomar, Queen of Pisawa in 1980
