Dalli Rajhara

Dalli-Rajhara (दल्लीराजहरा) is a town in Balod district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. Author (Laxman Burdak) visited it on 10.11.1985.
Dalli Rajhara is home of iron ore captive mines for Bhilai Steel Plant, the largest integrated steel plant in India. Dalli mines deposit was discovered by Pramatha Nath Bose, the first Indian graded officer of the Geological Survey of India around 1900.
Location
Dalli-Rajhara is about 83 km south of Durg. Dalli Rajhara is located at 20.58°N 81.08°E. It has an average elevation of 409 m (1,342 ft).
Origin
Dalli-Rajhara name is based on twin towns Dalli and Rajhara. While both Dalli and Rajhara have mines, the residential area is predominantly in Rajhara.
Mining township
Dalli-Rajhara is the twin mine and part of the Rajhara group of mines. These are captive iron ore mines for Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) – a SAIL enterprise. Iron ores mined from the area are of the hematite and magnetite variety. The other mines in the neighbourhood produce dolomite, lime and other raw materials which go into steel production.
Dalli-Rajhara is about 83 km south of Durg and comes under the south-eastern section of the Indian Railways. While both Dalli and Rajhara have mines, the residential area is predominantly in Rajhara. Dalli-Rajhara is a self-sufficient township with BSP having set up hospitals and a considerable number of educational institutes.
Dalli-Rajhara rose to prominence as a result of the labour rights movement in the 1970s.
The mines are open cast mines and the poignant view as one enters the township at dusk is that of thousands of glittering lights on the hills.

The Bordih dam is a beautiful picnic spot. The surrounding hills and forests are home to many species of wildlife. Dalli Rajhara is surrounded by seven beautiful hills. Rajhara is rich in green patches across the town. Rajhara Baba Mandir Saptagiri Park, Dev Pandum, Munda Pahad, Boirdeeh Dam, Mahamaya Mandir, Pandwan Dev, Danitola Dargah and Siyadevi are all places of interest.

दल्ली राजहरा भारत के छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य के बालोद ज़िले में स्थित एक नगर है।दल्ली राजहरा जुड़वां खानें हैं और राजहरा खान समूह का हिस्सा है। यह कैप्टिव लौह अयस्क खानें भिलाई इस्पात संयंत्र (बीएसपी) - एक सेल उद्यम के लिए हैं। विभिन्न प्रकार के लौह अयस्क हेमटिट और मैग्नेटाइट इस क्षेत्र से खनन होते हैं। पड़ोस में अन्य खानों का उत्पादन डोलोमाइट, चूना और अन्य कच्चे माल जो इस्पात उत्पादन में जाते हैं। दल्ली राजहरा दुर्ग से ८३ किमी दक्षिण में स्थित है, बालोद से यह 25 किमी में है और भारतीय रेलवे के पूर्वी रेल के भाग में आता है। जबकि दोनों दल्ली और राजहरा में खानें हैं, आवासीय क्षेत्र राजहरा में मुख्य रूप से है। अस्पतालों और शिक्षण संस्थानों के काफी संख्या में स्थापित होने दल्ली राजहरा खुद को बीएसपी के साथ पर्याप्त बस्ती है। दल्ली राजहरा सत्तर के दशक में श्रम अधिकारों के आंदोलन पर प्रसिद्धि हुआ था। एक संध्या पर शहर में प्रवेश करते समय ओपन कास्ट खानों वाले पहाड़ों पर भव्य रोशनी देखते ही बनती है।
