Dheva (ढेवा)[1] Dhewa (ढेवा) is Gotra of Jats in Rajasthan.

Origin

This gotra gets name from Persons who came back from Iran who were called Dhe (ढे). Dhe (ढे) is derived from Dhe (धे) which in term originated from Plants (पौधे). [2]

Bhim Singh Dahiya[3] mentions about this clan

(11) Deva- mentioned in RV I/162/l a Dheva Jata. Devala is the seer of RV IX/5-24. Identical with Deval Clan.
