Nangloi, also known as Nangloi Jat is a famous village in Delhi, mainly on account of its location at National Highway No. 10. Now, it has connectivity to Delhi Metro system also. The village has lost its agricultural land which has been acquired for settlement purposes or establishment of industrial units. Most population is in business or service, with good per capita income.
The village had a population of 150,371 in 2001. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Nangloi Jat has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 53%. In Nangloi Jat, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
The statue of Sir Chhotu Ram
The statue of Sir Chhotu Ram has been installed at Jat Dharmshala in village Nangloi (Delhi) on 10 August 2013. It was inaugurated by Dr. Yoganand Shastri: speaker Delhi Assembly, Chaudhary Birender Singh Sheokand, Dr. Vijendra Singh: Nangloi MLA. etc.
