V. S. Agrawala[1] mentions Vishayas known to Panini which includes - Tryakshayana (त्र्याक्षायण), under Aishukari Gana (ऐषुकारि गण) (IV.2.54).

In Mahabharata

Tryaksha (त्र्यक्ष) is mentioned in Mahabharata (XIV.8.13), (XIV.8),

Aswamedha Parva, Mahabharata/Book 14 Chapter 8 mentions Names of Shiva which include Tryaksha in verse (XIV.8.13).[2]
