Nurpur (नूरपुर) is a village in Chandpur district Bijnor of Uttar Pradesh.

History

चौधरी चरणसिंह के दादाजी बदामसिंह इसी तेवतिया जाट राज्य घराने के थे जो भटौना गांव में बसे थे। इनका परिवार भटौना में कई वर्ष तक रहा। चौ० बदामसिंह के पांच पुत्र थे जिनके नाम - लखपतिसिंह सब से बड़ा, बूटासिंह, गोपालसिंह, रघुवीरसिंह और मीरसिंह सबसे छोटा था। चौ० मीरसिंह अपने परिवार वालों के साथ भटौना से नूरपुर गांव जिला मेरठ में जाकर आबाद हो गया। उस समय उनकी आयु 18 वर्ष की थी। इसी गांव नूरपुर में 23 दिसम्बर 1902 को चौ० मीरसिंह के यहां एक नूर का जन्म हुआ जिसका नाम चरणसिंह रखा गया।
