Bispur (बिसपुर) is a village in Darbha tahsil of Bastar district in Chhattisgarh. Author (Laxman Burdak) visited this village several times and mentioned in his diary of 1982-83.

According to Census 2011 information the location code or village code of Bispur village is 449644. Bispur village is located in Darbha tehsil of Bastar district in Chhattisgarh, India. It is situated 17km away from sub-district headquarter Darbha (tehsildar office) and 48km away from district headquarter Jagdalpur. As per 2009 stats, Bispur village is also a gram panchayat. The total geographical area of village is 621.923 hectares. Jagdalpur is nearest town to Bispur for all major economic activities, which is approximately 48km away.[1]

Author (Laxman Burdak) visited this village several times and mentioned in his diary of 1982-83:

19.10.1982: DarbhaTongpal 8-9.30 hrs by bus, TongpalBengpal 9.30 to 12 hrs on foot 12.5 km. Inspected TahakawadaBispur Road work. Returned 14.30-17 hrs on foot and then to Darbha by govt vehicle.

07.12.1982: Darbha-BispurPakhnar and back 10-18hrs, 76 kms. Visited site of construction of Inspection Hut at Pakhnar.

23.12.1982: Koleng to Darbha 30 km, 12-14 hrs. Darbha to Bispur with SDO. Halt Bispur.

24.12.1982: Bispur to Kapanar कापानार departed at 9 am observed felling of trees sal, bija and saja about 20 in no near roads in compartment-221 at a distance of 13 km from Bispur on TirathgarhKatekalyan road. Measurements were taken. Patel of the village told that felling was done by Production forester for the construction of bridge. Instructed RA Bispur to make further enquiry. Visited Tin mine near Kapanar in Teak Plantations area in compartment-221. Abandoned. Back to Bispur 16 km. Bispur to Bengpal through Tahakawada road. 12-14 hrs, distance 13 km. Bengpal to compartment-241 on extraction path. Saw Tin mining. One lady झिलरी was found at work site but rest of men ran away. Back to Darbha at 7 pm with SDO.

11.01.1983: Darbha (11hrs) – Tirathgarh-Bispur-Bengpal-Tahakawada-Darbha (16hrs) govt veh, 70 km.

28.01.1983: Darbha- Bispur and Marjum 70 km checked marking in compartment-237 coupe-10 Bispur felling series. Reached Bispur 8.30 pm. Halt Bispur.

29.01.1983: Bispur (7am) - DarbhaJagdalpur by govt veh. Again Jagdalpur-Bispur by govt veh reached at 12.30 hrs. Bispur-Marjum checked marking in compartment-237. Reached Bispur 8 pm. Distance 200km. Halt Bispur.

30.01.1983: Discussed problems of Bispur forest village with Patel, Kotwar and Sarpanch of Bispur. Halt Bispur.

31.01.1983: Inspection of coupe no 9 and 10 with CF Jagdalpur PM Rajware. Distance 82 km. Bispur-Darbha 25 km by Govt veh. Halt Darbha.
