Kakalgur village is located in Darbha tehsil of Bastar district in Chhattisgarh, India. It is situated 4km away from sub-district headquarter Darbha (tehsildar office) and 40km away from district headquarter Jagdalpur. The total geographical area of village is 535.38 hectares. Jagdalpur is nearest town to kakalgur for all major economic activities, which is approximately 40km away. [1]

09.10.1982: Darbha to Kakalgur (ककालगुर) on foot 11.00 to 13.30 Hrs 4 km. Visited Teak Plantation-1979 on Koleng Road.

16.12.1982: Darbha - Kakalgur 10-13 hrs with MR Mahawadi 18 km, inspected forest specially comp 179. Villagers have girdled trees in agri fields.
