Salar (सालार) is a gotra of Jats. The word Sālār means a prince, a chief or a leader, as per Persian English Dictionary. [1] The Salar dynasty of Indian History is well known. [2] [3] Salar is one of 36 royal clans in India along with Bains, Dahima etc. [3]
