Chapka (चपका) is a village in Bastar tahsil of Bastar district in Chhattisgarh.

It is situated 11km away from sub-district headquarter Bastar (tehsildar office) and 32km away from district headquarter Jagdalpur. According to Census 2011 information the location code or village code of Chapka village is 449330. Chapka village is located in Bastar tehsil of Bastar district in Chhattisgarh, India. As per 2009 stats, Chapka village is also a gram panchayat. The total geographical area of village is 795.64 hectares.[1]

Chapka has a total population of 1,942 peoples, out of which male population is 998 while female population is 944. Literacy rate of chapka village is 62.20% out of which 71.34% males and 52.54% females are literate. There are about 458 houses in chapka village. Pincode of chapka village locality is 494224. Bastar is nearest town to chapka for all major economic activities, which is approximately 11km away.[2]

Sunarpal and Chapka are -within 12 miles from Narayanpal. Chapka has a number of sati pillars, several of which are inscribed. [3]

[p.166]: All these are unimportant and give no historical data. Six belong to Chapka and are engraved on sati memorial stones and, with one exception, in Nagari characters. Most of these have the usual marks of the sun, the moon and the outstretched hand with figures of husband and wife. Some have got temples engraved, with the couple in the act of worshipping the linga represented there. One is found at Barsur on the pedestal of a goddess and is fragmentary.
