Ajaria (अजरिया) Ajuria (अजूरिया) [1] or (Ajariya, Ajarya, Ajurya, Ajuria) is a gotra of Jats.[2]

They get name from Rigvedic tribe Aja.[3]

Mention by Panini

Ajarya (अजर्य) is a term mentioned by Panini in Ashtadhyayi. [4]

Hukum Singh Panwar (Pauria) writes that We come across Aja and Ajas as an Aryan king and people in Ayodhya and Aja-Midha as a king and family in the Pururav stock. It is very interesting to note that there are Aja, Ajarya, Ajurya, Aja-Midha and Midha or Mirdha (sanskritised as Gurjar) tribes among the Jats.[5]
