Hirani or Heerani (हीरानी) is a Village in the Nawa tehsil, Nagaur district, Rajasthan. As of 2001 census the population of the village is 8337 out of which 1027 are SC.
History
The village in Rajasthan was founded by Ranwa Jats. Sahajarao was the ancestor of Ranwa gotra who left Nagaur in vikram samvat 1111 and founded village Saamikhera and constructed fort and Shiva temple there. Later on 12 sons of Sahaja founded the villages Jachas, Bhikhanwasi, Khanadi, Karkedi, Maulasar, Makrana, Bai, Buchyasi, Bhurbhura, Jabdinagar, Chausal and Hirani.
