Shorot (शोरोत) or Shyorot (श्योरत) gotra Jats are found in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh. The people of 'Shorot' gotra use the spelling "Sorout" or "Sorot", there are around 24 villages of Sorout gotra people around Hodal (Distt- Faridabad), a few are near Mathura and Hindon (Distt- Bharatpur) .
