History

Dhanda and Mawaliya are same gotra .

Mamala (मामाल) = Mavala (मावल) [6]

Mavala मावल = Mamala मामाल, जिला पूना, महा., [7] फतेहाबाद तथा सीकर के कुछ गांवों में Dhanda(ढांडा) गोत्र को मावलिया ,मोलिया गोत्र से जाना जाता है।

In Mahabharata

They are mentioned in the Mahabharata Drona Parva as Māvellakas, the present Mavala Jats. [8] [9][10] [11]

Mahabharata [12] mentions about a King of the Paurava race named Uparichara (Vasu) of Chedi Kingdom. Vasu had five sons:Vrihadratha (King of Magadha), Pratyagraha, Kusamva (also called Manivahana), Mavella and Yadu. [13] Mavella (मावेल्ल) is probably ancestor of the Mawlia clan.
